With this being the holiday season, and with this being an advent calendar, we thought we'd spend some time looking at the material side of FFVII.

The seven figures in Bandai's FFVII "Extra Knights" (whatever that means) collection were some pretty popular toys, even being imported at the big chain game stores.

The series consisted of Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, Barret, Red XII, Sephiroth and Vincent. They're pretty faithful, but then so is nearly every licensed Japanese toy.

Bandai released four of the figures in America, in a pack with Cloud, Aerith, Barret and Tifa, but didn't include everything their Japanese packages did and were recolored slightly.

If you missed out on your chance to play with these figures (pffsh, play with collectible action figures??), you can get them for modest prices on eBay, but they don't seem to pop up that often.
